
General Description Argey Bargey is a 43ft trad narrowboat built by David Piper in 1987. Very attractive and nicely painted exterior as you would expect from this stable. All the familiar Piper trademarks internally, those nice little features and expertise that put Piper at the very forefront of narrowboat building. Detailed Description Hull - 10/6/4mm steel (thickness not checked). Engine - Vetus M4 32hp diesel. Batteries - 1no start and 2no services. AC system - with shore hook up. Space Heating - Stovax solid fuel stove. Water Heating - Calorifier. Water tank - Steel. Shower - yes. Toilet - Mansfield pump out. Cooker - Valor Vanette LPG. Fridge - Engel 12v. Lining material - Pine tgv boarding. Furniture and bulkheads - Teak faced ply with Afromosia trim. Flooring - Laminate wood effect. Engine Room - fully lined with boxing over engine. Bedroom - Cross double bed with infill cushion, chest of drawers and full height wardrobe. Shower Room - Self contained shower room with shower, vanity unit and basin and toilet. Side Doors - to both sides with hatches over and 'storage' steps. Galley - compact and well appointed with good storage and work surfaces. Saloon - Attractively curved L-shaped seats very nicely upholstered, corner cupboard with stereo, solid fuel stove in tiled hearth and folding table. Glazed bow doors with hatch over for easy access to well deck. Forward well deck - Locker seats each side. Navigation Equipment and External - Bow and stern fenders and ropes, plank and pole, brass mushroom vents, brass tiller extension. Overview An excellent example of the design and craftsmanship to be found on a Piper boat. And those qualities still hold good today to provide a delightful medium size well equipped narrowboat. |
